Hello all! The name is Dalton. And this is my blog.

I'm forever a Harry Potter, Arrested Development, Glee, Scrubs, Doctor Who, and Boy Meets World fanboy.

I'm also a PROUD Hufflepuff!

Sports teams, you may or may not ask:
Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders, Bulls, and Penguins.

Anything else, check my About Me page or send me an Ask, both of which can be done to the left.

STOP. BLINKING.

‘stop scrolling and take a minute to read this’ is usually reserved for posts about people who are in mortal danger or are suffering great injustice.
If you use it every time you’re shitting a brick about your favourite TV show, it will quickly stop meaning ‘hey here’s something that’s really important’ and will quickly start meaning ‘hey I’m about to moan self-importantly about something that you probably don’t care about and even if you do care about it I’m still going to be talking about it in a really over-dramatic way’
It’s desensitising people to a useful phrase through misuse and that’s really annoying.
PS: I don’t know or care who David Yates is, and if you think I want to engage in a discussion with you about whether or not he should stick to Harry Potter, whatever the fuck that means, you are sadly mistaken.

I fix’d it, maybe.

I’m going to say that the original use of my original phrase has become so annoying to a lot of people that its just scrolled past anyways.  Someone actually getting their panties in a bunch over an internet phrase they use to throw their ideals at others is rather amusing.  Really, find something else to get mad over, because “Stop scrolling and take a minute to read this” was annoying and overplayed months ago.
And people wonder why I dont come onto Tumblr as much as I used to.

What the fuck bit you in the ass today? Saying “OMG STOP WHAT YOU’RE DOING AND READ THIS SHIT.” implies, like a missing person or some horrible story that happened recently, not “OMG GUYZ DOCTAR HOO MIGHT BE FCKED UP”.

Because people who see “Stop scrolling and…” actually do it anymore.  Its become one of those annoying internet things people automatically ignore like “Repost this if…” or “Like my status if…”  It’s that irony that I was using to make something that was actually a fairly hot button issue for us Whovians into a post that many Whovians agree with.

Well it’s not taken as ironic, it’s taken as unhelpful to people who have serious problems and need people to listen to them.

Well, its not my duty to please everyone on the internet.  If you find it amusing or helpful or whatever, then hurray.  If not, then scroll on past and shake your head silently.
